After Dave Faxon’s post about what he’d been up to with remote controlled power switches, I got an email from Ian from my own hometown. Geez, never know who’s watching!

Jaycar Electronics have an RF remote switch similar to the Super Switch in
their new catalogue. Also available are small in-line receiver switches
compatible with the remote which can be easily added to existing devices. 240v
and 12v versions avail. The remote can control up to 4 devices.
They also have USB switched power boards that switch on the powerboard on
sensing a device activate such as pc etc. Maybe an option? Also have IP device
switches too. Lots of good new stuff in the latest catalogue which I just
