Presentation: Web Accessibility Best Practices

Knowing what web accessibility is and how it impacts visitors to your website is a good first step. But how do you put that information in to practice? In this session, we’ll cover some best practices that you can use to implement web accessibility, whether you’re bringing an existing web site up to spec or starting with a clean slate. We’ll focus on three key areas: Design (colour, font, layout), Development (HTML, CSS and ARIA) and Testing (testing tools, user testing, screen reader testing). You’ll leave with practical tools you can apply immediately.
